Dubai, UAE, 8 January 2024:Live music rings through the city as Tunes DXB returns from 5 to 14 January as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) by popular demand. This year’s line-up of concerts is spreading to the lively avenues of waterfront destinations Bluewaters and Al Seef as well as the bustling community hubs Boxpark (boasting two stages!), and Last Exit Al Khawaneej.
Scout out sensational performances by talented homegrown musicians every evening throughout the week, whether it’s serene acoustic melodies to the backdrop of Old Dubai at Al Seef or soulful spectacles against the city’s dazzling skyline at Bluewaters. At Last Exit Al Khawaneej, curate a meal of mouthwatering treats from an array of food trucks and settle in for a show, making the most of Dubai’s idyllic winter weather.
MEET SOME OF THE TALENT
- Jessica Alves is a prominent live singer who covers all-time jazz and pop classics hits, from ‘Feeling Good’ to ‘Dance with Somebody’. You’ve heard her perform at popular restaurants and rooftops across Dubai and the wider GCC. See Jessica perform at Bluewaters and Boxpark.
- Odai Al Suliman is preserving and promoting the tradition of the kanun with breathtaking performances around the world. The talented artist performs a range of styles, from classical to modern hits, with a DJ. See him at Bluewaters, Al Seef and Last Exit Al Khawaneej.
- Born and raised in Dubai, Ibby VK is a beloved pop, folk, R&B, and acoustic singer who performs self-penned tracks about life and love. See him perform at Boxpark and Last Exit Al Khawaneej.
- Nurzy is no stranger to the limelight – the Dubai-based Lebanese singer was part of the Middle East’s first-ever girl group that sings unique mash-ups, covers and originals in English and Arabic. See her perform at Bluewaters, Boxpark, Last Exit Al Khawaneej and Al Seef.
- Mariachi Quetza is a dynamic duo sharing their Mexican heritage with music lovers in the city. Armed with their trusty guitar and violin, the two perform vivacious Latin melodies to keep crowds dancing. See the Mariachi Quetza perform at Bluewaters and Boxpark.
- Dubai’s resident rap star Storm Fernandes spits fire wherever he goes. His hard-hitting, fast-paced lyrics capture audiences, and he’s recently been experimenting with new melodies to push the boundaries of his music. See Storm at Bluewaters.
- Kaled Bahnasi is a one-man-band who plays original instruments such as the handpan, digeridoo and jaw-harp. See him at Bluewaters, Boxpark, Last Exit Al Khawaneej and Al Seef.
