Established in 2018, a diversified global conglomerate operating companies across multiple industries. 

Charged with developing, operating and managing the company’s extensive range of strategically located retail assets, the Dubai Retail portfolio extends to prime destinations and communities across the emirate of Dubai.

With a retail footprint spanning over two million square feet of leasable space, Dubai Retail’s primary focus is supporting the growth and expansion of local and global retail partners through the delivery of holistic, convenient and diverse retail solutions. 

With 13 mixed-use properties comprising over 1,000 multi-format units across eight major locations in the city, Dubai Retail is the partner of choice for businesses of all sectors, sizes and stages of growth.

The company’s differentiated portfolio continues to expand, and include Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a Dubai bucket list tourist destination, premier beachfront attraction Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), and The Boulevard at Emirates Towers District, situated in the heart of the city’s future-forward financial hub, as well as Bay Avenue and Bay Square in the vibrant Business Bay. With a strong community focus, Dubai Retail caters to a wide residential catchment within thriving suburban neighbourhoods such as Mudon, Waha, Remraam and Layan in Dubailand, Shorooq in Mirdif, Al Khail Gate in Al Quoz, and Dubai Wharf and Manazel Al Khor at Jaddaf Waterfront on Dubai Creek. New additions to Dubai Retail’s portfolio include the Hessa Community Mall, and retail hubs serving the Serena and Villanova communities in Dubailand. 

Dubai Retail’s vision for the future includes the development of its F&B operations, Sarood Hospitality, to become a leader in the restaurant management and concept development sector. A full-service hospitality brand, Sarood’s portfolio includes some of the UAE’s best-known restaurants, including The Noodle House, Pierchic, Flow, The Duck Hook, Al Nafoorah, Hillhouse Brasserie, Khaymat Al Bahar, Pai Thai, Perry & Blackwelder’s, Segreto and Trattoria Toscana.

Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Retail and Sarood Hospitality

Nabil M Ramadhan is Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Retail, the retail management arm of Dubai Holding. In this capacity, he leads the strategic expansion of the company’s diverse portfolio, across both its retail and hospitality management divisions. He is responsible for an extensive portfolio which consolidates the assets of Dubai Properties, select destinations within the Jumeirah Group portfolio including Souk Madinat Jumeirah, JBR and Boulevard Emirates Towers District, and 25 brands under Sarood Hospitality. 

He is responsible for supporting the growth and expansion of local and global retail partners through delivering holistic, convenient and diverse retail space offerings. He also spearheaded the repositioning of Sarood Hospitality as an independent leader in restaurant management and world-class concept development.

Prior to his current role, Ramadhan held several management positions within TECOM Group, Jumeirah Group and Dubai Properties. 

At Jumeirah Group, he served as Group Chief Real Estate and Asset Management Officer and was tasked with managing the asset portfolio of the hotel group. In his earlier position as Group Chief Human Capital Officer, he implemented a comprehensive HR strategy targeting the Group’s 14,000 employees. He also supervised operations at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. 

Previously, Ramadhan completed a successful tenure as Chief Operating Officer of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority. At the start of his career, Ramadhan worked as Director of Human Resources at Dubai Properties, as Head of Human Capital Services at Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone, and in the Performance Development Department at Emirates Group.

Ramadhan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona in the United States. In addition, he is a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development.
